Klimowicz Group
Klimowicz Group is made up of Grupa Producentów Owoców i Warzyw Klimowicz Sp. z o.o., Grupa Producentów Zbóż i Rzepaku Klimowicz Bis Sp. z o.o. and also Przedsiębiorstwo Nasienne Księży Las Sp. z o.o. It is the group created by the companies of Klimowicz family what essentially influences of quality of products sold by it, company policy and specificity of activity.
The general area of Klimowicz farms (as of 01/01/2012) is ca. 2300 hectares and 31 hectares under glass (tomatoes and cucumbers production), the total number of people employed is ca. 300.
In the farms of Klimowicz family, the following products are made:

tomatoes and cucumbers - ca. 13600 tonnes

ground vegetables - ca. 15500 tonnes

crops - ca. 6000 tonnes (including ca. 41000 tonnes of seeding material)

corn for seeds - ca. 2000 tonnes

rape - ca. 2000 tonnes

milk - ca. 4 600 000 litres / year

cattle - ca. 1300 individuals (including ca. 500 milk cows)

beef (bulls for slaughtering) - 170 tonnes / year.
The vegetables are sold mostly in national sales networks and exported to the EU and Russia (depending on the economic situation). The typically agricultural products are sold for the purposes of national market.
Companies from Klimowicz Group care about environment protection by means of: application of suitable filters in boiler houses, application of fuel of high quality standards, recycling in greenhouses, integrated protection in greenhouses, biological protection of crops, climate control - what influences on plants health in greenhouses and adequate wastes management.
GPOiW KLIMOWICZ Sp. z o.o. and its members were awarded many certificates for example GlobalGap, Tesco Natur Choice; they have implemented HACCP system, Code of Good Agricultural Practises.
